We are using an Optodyne laser that utilises Doppler technology. The laser measuring that the device performs is targeted at determining the positioning accuracy of the machine&#8217;s axle motion.<\/p><p>Laser measuring reveals faults (positioning accuracy) in the machine tool&#8217;s motion, and the achieved results can be used to improve motion accuracy by compensating the motion via machine tool control.<\/p><p>The Optodyne laser measuring device also enables measuring spatial, volumetric positioning that defines the machine&#8217;s three-dimensional accuracy.<\/p><p>The aim of performing laser measuring is to improve machine accuracy and also to find out possible faults in the machine&#8217;s total work volume without having to carry out unnecessary testing.
